COVID NOTICE: May 21st 2021 Whale Watch Season Kick-off!

Rates

SeaSalt Charters‘ rates for private charters are based on a per trip basis, the maximum number of passengers is 6, this is a Coast Guard restriction, and it keeps the boat very comfortable.  So whether you come out by yourself or with 5 friends the price is the same.

As a result of many inquiries from people looking to share a private trip and the cost, whom we were usually unable to accommodate, we will now be offering split charters/public trips for whale watches.   We will need at least 3 people to leave the dock, as this will allow us to cover expenses.  Babies, and small children do count as 1 person, as per the Coast Guard.  If you do not see a scheduled public trip for the date you are interested in please contact us and we can set one up for you.

The whales of Cape Cod are typically much farther out from Provincetown than the fish, which means we will burn more fuel, which explains the higher rates.

Our online booking feature is working seamlessly and seems to be the most popular way of booking a trip, but please feel free to contact us to answer any questions and book the trip personally with me by email or phone.

Reserve your trip early as possible as whale watches are already being booked way in advance!!

COVID NOTICE: May 21st 2021 Whale Watch Season Kick-off!

On Friday, May 21st, we officially kick off SeaSalt Charter’s 2021 whale watch season!

SeaSalt Charters provides a unique opportunity to explore the whales’ feeding and nursing grounds on a private, comfortable boat with just you, your family/friends.  During times like these, it’s a way to help ensure you and your families safety.

Due to our maximum capacity of 6 people, we are exempt from any further delays related to Covid-19.

All of our crew at SeaSalt Charters have been fully vaccinated.

We have developed Covid--19 Policies to keep our passengers and captain/naturalists health and safety a priority, including: sanitization between trips; an enclosed cabin separating captain/naturalist (when necessary) from passengers; facemasks; Covid-19 crew training; and private charters only at this time.

At this time of continued uncertainty we are still not offering shared whale watch trips, and are exclusively doing private whale watches.  When the time comes that we are comfortable putting strangers together for a shared whale watch, we will do so, but until then we will focus on providing safe reliable private whale watch trips for you and your group.

Please note: masks are required in Provincetown.

We look forward to whale watching with you soon.
